Hi! I'm James and I'm a photographer based in Leeds, West Yorkshire covering weddings throughout the UK and Europe.
Recently married to my beautiful wife, Penny, I know how important it is to find the right photographer for your wedding.
I’ve been photographing weddings professionally for over ten years following three years of studying photography at college.
My experience and creativity allow me to ensure the couples I work with have a stress-free, fun-filled wedding day with minimal time away from their friends and family.
I’ve always been passionate about photographing weddings as there’s something very rewarding about capturing that perfect moment that will never exist again - the moments that matter, that someone will look at for years to come, to relive their day and cherish.
Getting to share such a special day with couples and capture those moments gives me enormous pride and I feel truly grateful that couples trust me to tell their story.

• WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
Leeds, UK but I’m happy to shoot all over the world!
• WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO GET IN TOUCH?
Either fill in my contact form or send me an email with as many details about your wedding and I’ll get right back to you.
• WHEN CAN WE SEE OUR PICTURES?
Your online gallery will be ready for viewing 4-5 weeks after the wedding, with your USB delivered to you shortly after.
• DO YOU TAKE ANY FAMILY GROUP PHOTOS?
Of course. I think these are important pictures but I always suggest limiting group shots to maybe 5 or 6 groups so that we can do these quickly and not interrupt the day for more than 15 minutes or so. I always aim to get one group shot of the couple with all the wedding guests together.
• CAN WE SEE WHAT SOME OF YOUR PREVIOUS CLIENTS HAVE SAID?

• HOW FAR IN ADVANCE OF THE WEDDING DO WE NEED TO BOOK YOU?
Certain dates are more popular than others and it’s always best to secure your photographer as early as you can. Bookings can be taken up to 2 years before the wedding date but if i'm available, I'm also happy accept last minute bookings.
• DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT FOR BOOKINGS?
I do indeed. To secure a booking I require a signed contract and a £400 deposit. The remainder is then paid no later than a month before the wedding date.
• WHAT IS THE LATEST YOU WILL STAY ON THE WEDDING DAY?
I usually tend to finish taking photos around 10pm but if your wedding is fun I’m bound to stay longer! I LOVE fun weddings!
• WHERE WILL YOU TRAVEL TO SHOOT A WEDDING?
I love travelling and seeing new places so I'm happy to travel anywhere!
For destination weddings, I ask that all travel expenses and accommodation are covered. For UK weddings I only ask that 2 nights accommodation is covered if I am traveling more than 2 hours from Leeds.
• WHO OWNS THE COPYRIGHT TO OUR WEDDING PHOTOS?
You will own joint copyright to all photos on your USB. This allows me to use the images for my website, marketing, etc but you are free to print, email, and upload to Facebook as you please!
• CAN WE MAKE PRINTS FROM THE USB OF HI-RES IMAGES?
Absolutely! All the photos on the USB are hi-res, fully edited and ready to print. I will give you a list of places I recommend for quality printing.
• DO YOU HAVE A WEB GALLERY FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO PURCHASE PRINTS AFTER THE DAY?
All the images from your wedding will be put into your personal online password protected gallery where your friends and relatives can view the images, order prints and access digital downloads if they just want a photo for their Instagram!
• HOW LONG DO YOU KEEP THE FILES?
Your photos will be backed up and kept safe but I am legally responsible for them for 12 months from the wedding date. So please make sure you make all your image selections as soon as possible after the wedding.
• WHAT KIND OF ALBUMS DO YOU OFFER?
I currently offer Folio albums. These handmade fine art albums are produced right here in Yorkshire and I'm proud to be able to supply them to my clients.
• HOW MANY PICTURES CAN WE HAVE IN THE ALBUM?
As many as you like! But I recommend starting with around 60 and going from there.
• HOW DOES THE ALBUM DESIGN PROCESS WORK?
After you’ve selected which images you’d like in the album I will personally design the layout in the best way possible to tell the story of the day. I will then email you a proof to look over and approve before I send everything to my album supplier.
• WHERE CAN WE GO FOR OUR ENGAGEMENT SHOOT?
Almost anywhere you like! I like to shoot in places that are meaningful to you but I'm also happy to suggest places if you’re feeling a bit stuck. For certain locations, I may ask that my travel expenses are covered.
• CAN YOU RECOMMEND A VIDEOGRAPHER/BAND/FLORIST…?
I can! Please get in touch and I shall recommend you some super talented people.

• DO WE NEED TO PROVIDE YOU WITH A MEAL ON THE DAY?
If you could it would be greatly appreciated. Weddings can be quite tiring so it's important that I keep my energy levels up!
