Nicola and Dale’s Stubton Hall wedding near Newark, Nottinghamshire was a lovely August wedding. The weather started out a little overcast but fortunately any rain held off and the sun managed to burst through in time for the ceremony.
Nicola got ready at her parents house before travelling to St Wulfram’s Church in a lovely old Bentley. St Wulfram’s Church is a grand church in the centre of Grantham, Lincolnshire with a stunning interior. The church also has an incredible spire rising 282.5 feet into the air; the sixth tallest spire in the country. The ceremony was perfect, with just close friends and family attending.
After the ceremony everyone journeyed to the reception venue; the absolutely gorgeous Stubton Hall. Stubton Hall remains one of my favourite wedding photos i’ve ever photographed at. There are so many beautiful areas throughout the venue and grounds, and from a photography point of view it means I am spoilt for choice! For anyone who is considering getting married there, I would highly recommend it.
By the time we arrived at the venue we were gifted with glorious sunshine; a perfect celebration for Nicola & Dale’s wedding day. After the drinks reception I took Nicola & Dale away for 10 minutes to shoot a few portraits around the grounds whilst the weather was so beautiful. This was a perfect time for the two of them to reflect on their day so far and have a moment to themselves.
Later in the day, as the sun was setting we also created some more stunning portraits in the beautiful golden light before making the most of twilight and a full moon.
Overall Nicola & Dales wedding was so much FUN! There were so many little details that made it such a wonderful day and a joy to photograph. To top it off they also had an awesome wedding cake – i’ve never seen anything like it! Be sure to take a look through all of the photos and leave a comment!
